Social Networks: MySpace

So one of the top Social Networks online today is . The thing that I personally do not like about is that it is bombarded with SPAM. I have an account there but I do not use it very often. Over 3 years ago, I was using it successfully to obtain prospects. But as time progressed it just got harder and harder because people just send out SPAM messages and then they complained so had to take measures to stop this from happening.

So now there are codes that you have to put in for almost every message that you send out, and people don’t even read them unless they are from people they know. They just get skimmed over and deleted. That is why if you still plan on using you need to make real friends. It is still great for that, but if your sole purpose on the site is to just go out and promote your business without first speaking with someone like a normal human being, it will never work.

See people think that the Internet eliminates the fact that we are human. We still need to build relationships with people. Imagine if you were at the grocery store and people were just walking up to you out of the blue…that you did not know…and just started spewing off about their business and how much money they make and how you could make this kind of money to and blah blah blah. How do you think you would react? Do you think you would be excited?? I seriously doubt it! I think you would want to just walk away from the person. I would. It’s like those people at the mall who try to pull you over to try out the meditaranian lotions and oils that they have. You just look at them and say “no thanks” and keep on going.

Talk to people on social sites the same way that you would want to be spoken to face to face. Just because you are not looking at the person does not mean that they don’t want to be spoken to like you are…so make a mental note of that. Start building relationships!

Basic common sense isn’t it. Yet you still have people trying to blast an ad at you daily.
