The Monster That Is Google
Today I am going to cover the monster that is Google. I call it a monster because like many things that we don’t understand we fear them. Take a spider for instance. A large % of you hate spiders. They are hairy and creepy looking and eewww they have 8 legs…they are monsters, yet spiders are very docile creatures for the most part and usually only ever attack us if threatened.
So because you don’t understand Google, you are programmed to fear it, and you have to stop fearing it right now less your business suffer and worse yet…fail.
I have been covering social networking a lot this past couple weeks because it seems that a very large percentage of you are using it as your sole method to promote your businesses. But if you do this, you are going to continue to have minimal, if any results.
I don’t know about you, but I would rather be getting 150-300 leads per day as opposed to 1-5 leads a week. I get 150-300 leads a day from Google and 1-5 leads per week from social networking.
So here is what happens to most of you. You work your butt off running all over the social networks trying to drum up a lead. Then all of a sudden you get one who is interested and OH WOW a lead, and so you just pounce on this person in fear of them getting away and you try to smother them with information because who knows, this could be the only one you ever get so you better savor it, and this person freaks out and runs away because you are so hungry for leads that you don’t know how to handle yourself when you get them…and so you lose them.
Ever experience that?
Well for me it is the complete opposite because I have 100’s of leads coming in a day. So as I am letting those leads come into my marketing funnel, when I get one come to me via social networking sites I am not desperate because I am not in what I call “Lead Poverty” so I go to this person like a professional and not like the success of my business depends on this ONE person.
See if you are in lead poverty, you are going to get too emotionally attached to your leads. When you are getting emotionally attached to your leads, they sense it. They can feel your desperation and that makes them walk no RUN away, but if you show them that you don’t NEED them, they want what you are offering even more…
So because I know how social networking goes, if someone tells me that it is all they are using to build their business I can tell you how successful they are…
Now there are some out there who have worked hard and used Google and built HUGE organizations, and then they started using social networking to maintain their communications with their teams and in doing so, they attract people to them…and it works for them…
But I can assure you that when they initially built their organization, they used Google or some form of paid advertising.
If I did not have Google I would have 85% less income than I do…and that would HURT!
So how do you learn how to use Google??
Well I am here to tell you there are ways.
1. The Free way
This way you have to just dive in head first and learn it. It is not impossible but would take you several months to even touch the surface. It is a very complex machine, but it CAN and has been done.
2. Take a Course
This is the preferred way because you are learning from someone who has taken the time to learn and master it and they are willing to share their knowledge with you.
Now I don’t know about you, but when I first started using Google, I did not have MONTHS or even WEEKS because I did not have much money to waste testing, because with Google you have to test over and over again to make sure that it is working right…and every time you test, it costs you money…
So you can eliminate the testing phase by learning from a pro…
So here is what I am going to do for my readers…
I am going to share with you a course that I just picked up that really walks you through all the steps of setting up your first Google campaign…
Now I had already been using Google for years, but this course helped me cut my PPC costs by about 1/8 which over time is a LOT.
So for my readers I am going to help you save 40% off of this course today. I paid full price and was happy to do so, but I know that many of you are probably on a tight budget right now so I want to help out…
All you have to do is go to www.Moneza.net and purchase this $30 program. Once you do that, you will be shown a whole series of products. You can skip all the way to the end, but I suggest that you at least look these other products over because they too can help you in different aspects of your business…
But should you decide to skip ahead, get to PPC Domination and that is the product that you are going to want to order. By doing this, you are going to get a 40% discount.
So get to www.Moneza.net and place your order. Then go through all the other products, and then get PPC Domination and start learning how to get on Google today!
If you want to have success in your business you HAVE to be on Google, otherwise you are missing a HUGE boat of opportunity. Don’t rely on social networking…use it as an addition for sure, but not as your sole focus…
I hope this helps!

Social Media In Plain English
These videos are quite funny. While we are talking about spinning your social web, you need to understand exactly how social networking works. People seem to think that it is anti-social networking as you have heard me say over and over again, when in reality if we use it incorrectly we will have negative results.
See if you can learn to use social media the right way, you will create an endless amount of contacts. That is why I am not going to post the next lesson today. You need to keep doing what I told you Tuesday and that is going to the 4 social media sites that you decided on as your “hub” and meet people…
People waste countless hours on the Internet every day. The thing that you want to realize is that if you continue wasting time, you will never reach the goals that you may have in place for yourself.
So ask yourself this question…what is your ultimate goal using social media?
Is it to make real friends? Is it to make fake friends? Is it to build a business?
What is your ultimate goal? Well if you want to do it right, your ultimate goal should be to build up your social network. In order to build it right, you want to attract people who look at you like a REAL person. Once you are real in their eyes you become non-threatening.
I really hope that this is making sense to you…because until it does you will have very poor results using it as a tool.
I know that a lot of people are hurting financially right now. So many are desperate to make $1 that they do things that they normally wouldn’t do. I understand that…and your frustration, but like I have said many times…if you are dependent on social media alone to build your business, you are going to HAVE to start doing it right or you are going to keep getting the very same results that you are getting now.
So again…get out there and start making some real friends. Start making people actually want to visit the center of your circle!!!

Creating A Marketing Circle
Hello Readers!
So I have been touching on Social Networking a lot this week. It seems to be a hot topic because it is one of the most used mediums online today and 98% of you are using it all wrong. I honestly believe that it is a great ADDITION to our marketing efforts, but to make it your ONLY method will cause you frustration because you will have minimal results.
The people who are out there building their businesses solely on social networking sites have truly mastered the art and have probably put in COUNTLESS hours building their “web”.
So what I want you to do to make some sense of this is to take a piece of paper and draw a big circle in the middle of it. Once you have that drawn, I want you to draw a little circle in the center of it.
Now imagine that middle circle is where you ultimately want people to end up. Where most people are is on the outside edge of the outer circle trying to PUSH people into the center. What usually happens when we “push” people? They resist.
So by going out and just profile spamming and throwing your link all over the place is “pushing” people. What you want to do is sit in the center of your circle and ATTRACT people to you. Let them come on their own free will.
The way that you do this is to create what I call a “web”. Makes me sound like a spider I know but it is more or less what it is…I have many sites and links and posts out all over the net that is my outer circle and when I do posts like this, or update my twitter and things like this, it all drives people to the center of my circle.
I am not out on 20 social sites blasting my link to everyone, I am sitting here in the center of my circle doing my thing day in and day out and people come to me.
How would you like people coming to you and ASKING you what you do? Think about how good of a lead that is?
Once you become the hunted instead of the hunter your business will flip flop. You will going from having virtually NO success to major success.
So I am going to start covering how to create your web. It really is a lot to get it all set up at first, but once you do you will see how effective it is.
So stay tuned as we continue creating the circle…
To get started take ALL of your social networking sites like Facebook, MySpace and the lot and pick your top 4. Once you do that…for now set the others aside. They will possibly become part of your web, but you only need a small few to keep in the center of your circle with you because these will be the places where you post content that will end up flowing out into your web…
Once you have written down your 4 favorite sites, go to those sites EVERY DAY! While we progress here, start going to these sites and building REAL relationships with people. Not LINKships!
As you do this, you will be creating your “core”. So as you spin your web, you want to continue ALWAYS working on the core. So get out there and start making real friends!
Talk to you soon!

Understanding Social Media
Hello readers!
So I am wondering as I stroll through my social sites this morning how some people think that spamming actually works. I counted as I visited some friends profiles to leave comments, and to my surprise almost all of them had SPAM comments on their pages.
Do people really think that this is a serious way to get people to visit their websites? I mean all it does is upset and frustrate most people that I know including myself!
If I wanted to be spammed like that, I would read every email that ends up in my Junk mail!
So how DO you successfully use Social networks to build your business?
Well the FIRST thing that you need to realize and understand is that the people on the other end of the screen that you are posting on…are in fact…believe it or not…ready??
REAL PEOPLE!!!
Yes that’s right they are REAL! They are not some robot that sites there begging for your link to a better life and financial freedom! I am sorry to tell you that because obviously some people must really believe that…
So you have to TREAT them like real people. How would you approach a potential new friend in a grocery store? Or at a diner? Would you just walk up to them and say “Hey my name is David Foster. Please visit my website and learn how you can make a lot of money right now working from home. Did you know that the job market…puke puke puke…”
Could you imagine the reaction that you would get if you DID do that?? I think some people may even smack you…I would not suggest that you go out and try it, but as sure as I sit here I KNOW there are people out there who do! =-)
So when you are on a social networking site next time, try browsing around and actually reading some people’s pages. Look at what they are interested in. Look for commonalities. Do you both like animals? Well then send them a message telling them how much you loved their pictures of their dog…you will get a response so quickly it isn’t funny!
Guess what you are doing now? You are building relationships!! You just became real to them and once they answer and you start chatting, they just became real to you…
So then over time, JUST by having a link to your website on your profile these people will naturally…and you know they will because I bet YOU do it too, visit your page and browse to get to know YOU better and what will they do??? That’s right they WILL eventually click on your link.
That is the BEST way to approach social networking, because you HAVE to be social. When you spam, that is more anti-social.
Now once you have established yourself then sometimes you can send down a link when you establish yourself with people, but only to people who expect it…not the new person who does not even know you yet…
You see, you really want to get the most out of these sites, and utilize them as marketing tools, which they most certainly are, then use them the right way. Establish real friendships with people and build a SOCIAL network and not an ANTI social one!!
I am going to be covering a method to structuring your sites so that you can be organized.

Google Pay Per Click
I get so many people from my businesses and lists that ask me about Google pay per click advertising. I know that it is really hard to understand, yet if you want to be in business and make money it is definitely one of the best places to be.
So how can you learn to use this great marketing system to build your business? Well you have to learn how to master it. Google is not something that you can “play” with. It is something that you have to jump in completely or not at all because if you just “play” on Google it will literally cost you THOUSANDS of dollars. Trust me I know because I wasted a LOT of my money initially when I did not understand it.
So what do you have to do to understand it? Well believe me when I say it is NOT easy. It is really hard to do. You HAVE to learn from people who HAVE mastered it because the trial and error alone would be enough to make even an experienced marketer yank their hair out.
See there are so many variables to Google adwords that you have to pay attention to because Google actually rewards you for figuring out how they work by actually lowering the price you pay per click. But there are a LOT of variables that you have to understand BEFORE that is possible.
So I want to share with you a course that has really helped me better understand how Google works. It is AMAZING how once you figure this out, you can use Google to successfully market ANY business or product that you are marketing.
So here is the deal…
You can see the course by clicking HERE. This course will show you EXACTLY what you need to do in order to understand and utilize Google. Remember that 80% of the people that you work with in your business…came from Google searches! Think about that for a second…
Today most people start their initial investigating on Google no matter what they are buying. If you are not there, then you are missing a HUGE piece of the pie.
Too many people that I talk to waste countless hours trying to build their businesses on Social Networking sites like this one and through all these different “free” mediums, but think about how saturated those sites are with people doing the same things…
You have to get out of that mentality and know that if you want to make even $5000 per month, you HAVE to spend money to advertise. If you want to make NO money, or very little then just keep working all the free methods.
My ad budget for my main business is higher than most people make in 3 months. That is because I completely understand that it takes money to make money.
So if you are ready to actually start playing with the big guys, then get this course and start learning the methods that the big guys use…if not then all you will ever be getting are the scraps and that is NOT the way to a successful business.
I know that some of this post may sound harsh, but it is just the truth of business and marketing. It is VERY competitive and not something that successful people take lightly. Do you think that your professional athletes look for the easiest way to do things? No way! The guys working the hardest and showing up to practice early, leaving late and never taking a day off are the ones that play the most and make the most money!
Thanks for listening!

How To Check Out The Competition in Internet Marketing
Last year, 2007, marked the start of a battle over the various methods of Internet Marketing. While traditionalists have placed their confidence with Googles 65 percent share among online searches. The revolutionaries have placed their stake with the development and prominence of the use of social media networking, now known in internet jargon as Web 2.0.
Experts identify the ultimate measure of success of any Internet marketing venture as the conversion rate of a sales lead into actual cash. Known in internet marketing terms simply as conversion rate, this is one of the most important metrics to measure when conducting any Internet Marketing campaign, as this tracks your success or failure in competition for traffic sources and click through triggers.
Studies by marketing analysts concluded that leads generated by search engine optimization techniques are now being overtaken by traffic triggered by Web 2.0, particularly traffic generated via social media networking. Internet marketing service provider comScore is an emerging global leader in measuring Internet metrics; and a study released by comScore, known in NASDAQ trading board by the initials SCOR, indicated that 95 percent of heavy social media users have visited an online store. The study also showed that among internet users in the United States, only 80 percent actually visited a retail stores website.
Market segmentation, similar to that measured in offline marketing, is another key indicator when checking out the Internet marketing competition. This segmentation explains the way in which a marketing brand can work well with one segment of the market only. Segmentation is when a brand does not work with other market segments because of inherent differences in the way the Internet achieves specific goals and the way processes are run. It is worthwhile to check out which market segment your product would likely to sell more to, and then find an Internet marketing brand that works best to promote your products. In this way, your lead conversion rate is sure to increase and you are better positioned to maintain an optimal conversion level.
In order to achieve a quick but conclusive comparison of your own Internet marketing brand against your competition, it is worthwhile setting up a few critical metrics and focus on measuring these. No matter how different your brand of Internet marketing is against your competitor, there is sure to be common data that you can measure because you are dealing with the same product.

21 Internet Marketing Success Steps
“I can’t seem to make money online - What am I doing wrong?”
When my Internet marketing mentoring students ask me that, I can give them a detailed breakdown specific to their online operations - but they’re paying top dollars for my time investment, and I only mentor those who already have a viable presence online. So what about those new to Internet marketing - what advice can we offer them?
Time constraints prevent anyone from checking into the current operations of everyone starting out in Internet marketing, and after 11 years of being online full time it’s easy to forget how frustrating even the simplest of Internet marketing activities can be to the neophyte.
So in response I put together this list of ‘21 Internet Marketing Success Steps’ to try and help guide both those new to Internet marketing and those with some Internet marketing experience who find their online marketing profits stalled or declining.
Pretty much ALL Internet Marketing success breaks down very similar to:
Basics:
1) Choose affiliate or your own products;
2) Build some type of web presence for it;
3) Get targeted eyeballs to that page or blog post;
4) Start building your list from those targeted visitors;
5) Use every free method to bring more people to the site;
6) Use your list to bring people back to the site and to new sites;
Intermediate:
7) Add related backend offers to your site;
Set up an affiliate program and get others pushing your site;
9) Put about 30% of what’s coming in back into getting more visitors;
10) Participate in giveaways to build your list and visitor numbers;
11) Find related products for new sites and do 1 - 10 with them too;
12) Attend live IM events, for knowledge but mostly for networking;
13) Convert related PLR resources to unique products to put online;
Advanced:
14) Set up a backend linking all your sites together & automate the processes;
15) Build e-mail e-courses to make available in each niche/area you cover;
16) Outsource much of your visitor acquisition;
17) Do Joint Ventures with other advanced Internet Marketers;
18) Outsource your product creation;
19) Evaluate and improve your automated backend efforts;
20) Speak at industry events & seminars;
21) Give back - mentor others to help them achieve their dreams.
For most people starting out it’s safe to assume the following as averages other Internet marketing newbies have achieved…
First sale: 2 - 6 months.
First steady trickle of sales: 4 - 12 months.
Full Time Earnings: 2 - 5 years.
Those Internet marketing timelines can be influenced up or down by the amount of time and money you can put in, your background experience, your focus, and mostly by the amount of concentrated, continual effort you put into following your plan in a tightly-focused manner.
The 3 Biggest Biz-Killers…
1) Lack of focus (too many different, unrelated activities).
2) Giving up too soon (lack of perseverance).
3) Half-hearted effort (It takes a lot of time and/or a lot of money - you have to be willing to invest one or the other (or both) on a constant basis for the first few years at least. Everyone I’ve met at our level or above has a passionate commitment to their Internet marketing business.)
Do an honest appraisal of your Internet marketing efforts to date. Are you following the above steps in order, or jumping around? Starting at #1, how far into the list can you go, confident you’re performing that task diligently?
Re-evaluate your plans based on what that tells you, and use that current limitation as the guide to what you need to learn more about, to focus on more, to put more effort into - and to eliminate anything else you’re doing that is straining your focus and your money and time constraints.
Decide what your goals are online. A few extra bucks? A steady inflow to help with the mortgage or to get a new car or a cottage? Enough to do this full time? Or sustaining a level that lets you achieve all your dreams and desires?
Each level is being achieved right now by people online - just know which you’re after so you can gauge the amount of time and effort you have to commit to your desired level of Internet marketing success.
Don’t be swayed by stories of meteorical rises online - while they do happen, they’re extremely rare. Usually they don’t make all the details public - I know a lot of ‘overnight successes’ who spent 3-5 or more years in the trenches first - just no one knows that. And others who put 6 or 7 figures into their Internet marketing businesses before you first heard of them.
And watch out for people who had one or two big launches 3, 5 or 10 years ago and are still teaching that same system - Internet marketing practices change too quickly and too drastically for that info to still be accurate. When evaluating advice you get on Internet marketing, always think to yourself:
“Yes, but what have they done lately?”
If the answer is ‘nothing new in the last 6 months’, take the advice with a grain of salt and stay focused on your own path, only using the bits from it that fit in with your own Internet marketing strategy.
After all, only YOU know where YOUR biz is right now, and what YOUR end goals are, right?
The best advice I’ve seen in this biz is to focus on making your first buck. Not a lot, just your first buck. Achieving that shows it can be done. Then focus on making one more. That shows it wasn’t a fluke - it can be repeated over and over successfully.
That eliminates one of the biggest stumbling blocks to building your own Internet marketing business by showing that a) it can be done, and b) YOU can do it. Then just use the 21 Internet marketing Success Steps above to build your business by continually repeating that process in larger volume for larger returns, and you’re on your way!
